This interview was carried out based on the article by Ramón Grosfoguel «The decolonization of political economy and postcolonial studies: transmodernity, border thinking and global coloniality», published in Tabula Rasa Magazine No. 4, 2006, which gave rise to a dialogue around the colonial criticism (s) of Eurocentric feminism. The interview includes the author's proposal to «transmodernize» Western feminisms.
Doris Lamus: The debate you raise in the article published in Tabula Rasa, suggests some questions and concerns about which I would be interested in both your point of view, as well as a little more development about its formulation. Regarding the discussion about the situated, the location of knowledge, I ask if you recognize a kind of "inherently decolonial" location. Let me explain: I can be in Colombia and think like the colonizer ... or the empire and experience its violence ...
