Da crueldade animal à dominação social interespécie e o autoritarismo: uma revisão teórica desde a psicologia social

Este artigo procura apresentar um debate teórico contemporâneo a partir de uma extensa revisão de literatura especializada no campo da psicologia social e política sobre a configuração do preconceito e a dominação interespécie —especismo— e entre grupos sociais humanos, assim como sua irredutível imbricação analítica. Para tanto, este texto divide-se em três partes. Na primeira, a modo de introdução apresentam-se pesquisas pioneiras desde o campo da psicologia e a criminologia, que a partir dos anos oitenta iniciaram o estudo da relação entre a crueldade com os animais e a violência interpessoal. Na segunda, esboçam-se os modelos teóricos mais relevantes para o estudo do especismo, baseados na Teoria da Dominação Social, junto com outras categorias analíticas relevantes como: estrese traumático induzido por perpetração, estrese moral e adormecimento psíquico, que permitem explicar processos psicossociais subjacentes à violência especista. Finalmente, expõe-se a masculinização desse tipo de violência e os mecanismos de genderização por trás da dominação social
