The main purpose of the Universidad Colegio Mayor de Cundinamarca, in accordance with its academic improvement policies, is to give its publications a relevant dimension, in order to sufficiently validate the investigative processes, disseminate the information to democratize and increase the possibilities of accessing the knowledge and, in turn, exercise a social and cultural function that is its responsibility, given its inherent characteristics as an institution of higher education.

Within this frame of reference, under the coordination of the anthropologist Leonardo Montenegro, the University developed an editorial proposal to institutionalize, within its academic and social projection program, the Tabula Rasa Magazine, specialized in the humanities.
