The book reviewed is the result of the first phase of an investigation that seeks to address the relationship between governance and territory in Colombia. This first publication presents the theoretical framework of the discussion and carefully examines the categories involved in the analysis. In a first part, the study addresses the different conceptions of government, governability and democracy, detailing the authors' point of view that is framed in the conception that this relationship (governability-territory) is marked by the correlation that oscillates between harmony and conflict. In the second part, two key reflections are addressed. The commitment to an own approach that takes account of the social and institutional particularities and a reflection on popular culture and the Government where the different manifestations of self-regulation are described.
