Review. Feminism for beginners

Reseña. Feminismo para principiantes

Catalina Laserna Estrada Author

The previous fragment I took quoted from Feminism for beginners and it seems explanatory enough to think why even today, it is fair to talk about this movement. The book might call it in my terms, like an encyclopedia or a manual of feminism. As its name implies, it is for beginners; handles a didactic and simple tone, without losing any rigor. Still, it is very useful for those who have already had a tour in this field and want to organize their knowledge. It is a book that shows step by step how feminism has been developing for three centuries and, also, shows all the processes that it has had to go through to consolidate itself as a political theory and practice of justice. Thus, what the journalist Nuria Varela intends is to present all the different positions that feminism can have today through a very effective tool; common sense and the absence of aggressiveness. It is clear to me that even those men who are obfuscated with the subject will also be shocked when reading this text.
