In this December 2010, Tabula Rasa celebrates 7 years since its first issue came out of print in December 2003. This magazine, which was born from the interest of the Rector Miguel García Bustamante to give a critical and pertinent dimension to the publications of the university, Its purpose was "to consolidate itself as a space from the academy, aimed at promoting the development of reflective practice", responding to the scientific demands of the area, as well as a deep look at the social reality of the country (García Bustamante, 2003: 7). This space has become one of the most recognized publications in Latin America in contemporary critical theory, being a space open to debate, to thinking about society and the disciplines that revolve around it.
