The final event, Hegelian Absolute or Heideggerian Ereignis, is the node of modern ontologies, an inheritance of the messianic or eschatological event. Modern ontologies of finitude are eventual ontologies par excellence is the hypothesis of this text. But thinking metamorphosis means in principle thinking about the world: transforming it. If the event becomes immanent to the world, it is precisely as metamorphosis of the world: not the metamorphosis that surpasses the world to raise / annul it but the metamorphosis that is its immanent excess.
