Rubiela Arboleda's work is the result of an investigation that yields two types of results. In the first part of this book, exposed in the first two chapters, the author reflects on the character of the body, in particular to consider it a "record of the cultural context" and, therefore, a privileged resource to turn it into a method for social investigation. The author is not limited to recognizing the body and corporeality as cultural products; First of all, he considers that in the body certain dimensions of culture are exposed, embodied in a way that serves to recognize various social phenomena. In this specific case, the investigation deals with the social conflict of the displaced from Urabá towards Medellín. The exploration of the cultural dimensions proposed by the study method through the body is not a novelty in Rubiela Arboleda's work. In 2002, he published the results of another investigation whose structure already responded to four of the five dimensions that constitute the axis of the current work. The body in the mouth of adolescents, as it is an investigation carried out among young people, does not expose the dimension of work that is present in this text.
