Here in Colombia, before I went to do my PhD, I had read Stuart Hall, but I had a very vague idea of ​​what cultural studies were and had not sized Hall as one of the most relevant intellectuals of our time. So it is only in the United States where I approach cultural studies and fall in love with Hall.
