The debate about the veil - Hijab - of Muslim women, has always been central within the contemporary feminist debate and hence expresses the heart of the conflict between two antinomic views: the vision of the hegemonic neo-orientalist and neo-western discourse and that of a certain majority traditionalist Islamic discourse. Islamic identity The body of Muslim women today seems to embody the place of tension between the representations of modernity and those of anti-modernity. This text attempts a double criticism and deconstruction from a decolonial vision, both of the dominant neo-orientalist feminist ideology, and also of that "mirror" vision of the traditionalist Islamic discourse refractory to any reformist vision.
